CHANDOR: Immaculate Conception Sports Club Paroda blanked St Rock Youth Club Majorda 4-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 44th Chandor Seamen Football tournament, played at Chandor ground, on Tuesday.
Kanchan Kiro of ICSC Paroda left footer in the 2nd minute should have found the ball at the back of Majorda nets when Manish Oliveira set him through but the former’ shot got the deflection of Kewin Almeida and went out of play.
St Rock had the best chance through Ismael Pathan but his close range shot missed the target by whiskers.
ICSC Paroda netted the first goal of the match through Kanchan Kiro in the 22nd minute.
In the 29th minute, Nickson Fernandes doubled the lead. Crossing ends, ICSC Paroda continued their dominance and scored two more goals through Benzu Clement and Manish Oliveira.
ICSC Paroda will meet the winners of SCC Loutolim and Chandor Club in the quarter-finals on September 10.
