PANJIM: ITI, Margao defeated ITC Sesa, Panchawadi by seven wickets to move into the semi-finals (cricket) on day-two of 13th all-Goa inter-ITI sports competition at Fatorda ground, Margao, Tuesday.
Batting first, ITC Sesa tallied 87/7 in 10 overs. Ramesh 25, Amey 14 not out, Arif 3/19.
In reply ITI, Margao overhauled the requisite tally, scoring 90/3 in 5.4 overs. Ashish 63, Rahul 10, Prasad 2/15.
In the first semi-final, ITI Cacora defeated ITI, Canacona by five runs. ITI, Cacora 114/7 in 10 overs. Krishna 25, Sujay 56. ITI Canacona 83 all out in 9.4 overs. Yinaya 23, Dinesh 4/15.
In north zone football at St Cruz ground, ITI, Panjim thrashed ITI, Sattari 4-0 while ITI, Sattari edged past ITI, Mont 5-4 via the tie-breaker.
ITI, Mapusa got the better of ITI, Sesa 2-0 while ITI, Bicholim defeated ITI, Pernem 2-0.
In south zone volleyball, ITI Cacora beat ITC Sesa, Panchwadi 25-17, 25-12 while ITI, Farmagudi beat ITI, Canacona 23-25, 25-16, 25-11.
