PANJIM: Holders ITI, Margao edged past ITI, Farmagudi 1-0 in the finals of the football tournament in 12th All-Goa Inter-ITI Sports Competition at Fatorda, Friday.
Monzilo Pereira scored the precious match-winner early in the second half.
Tennicoit doubles (girls): Finals Shilpa Manniker and Sonali Goankar of ITI Margao defeated Reshma Hussain of and Rohini Gadwad 21-22, 21-14, 21-9 of ITI Cacora. Earlier, ITI Margao beat ITI Farmagudi 21-18, 21-8; ITI Cacora beat ITI Vasco 21-7, 21-6; ITI Margao beat ITI, Canacona 21-18; 21-19.
Tennicoit doubles (boys): Finals – ITI, Canacona beat ITI, Cacora 21-10, 21-16 with Bulendra Govekar and Deep Satarkar outclassing their opponents.
Earlier, ITC Fr.Agnel, Verna beat ITI Vasco 21-15, 21-16, with Edward Abranches and Vovly Fernandes playing well for the winners.
ITI Margao beat ITI Farmagudi 21-10, 21-19 with Kiran Golabhavi and Yuvraj Naik being outstanding.
ITI Cacora beat ITC Fr. Agnel, Verna 21-7, 21-16.
Vinay Patekar and Shaikh Azmir fought hard for the winners. ITI, Canacona got the better of ITI Margao 21-9; 21-8.
ITI Mapusa led by a stellar display from Darshan Naik beat ITI Honda 21-10, 2-10 in the finals of North Zone inter-ITI doubles tennikoit championship at Pedem, Mapusa, Friday.
Earlier, Mapusa beat ITI Bicholim 21-14, 21-14; ITI Panjim defeated ITI Pernem 21-15, 21-15; ITI Honda beat ITC Montfort 21-20, 21-19; ITI Mapusa beat ITI Panjim
21-12, 21-13.
