PANJIM: Janata Dal (United) Candidate Domnic Savio D’Souza became the first candidate to file his nomination from Panaji constituency, while BJP leader Manohar Parrikar is expected to file his nomination Thursday.
D’Souza on Wednesday morning tendered his nomination along with his supporters to regional officer at Collectorate office.
Speaking to media, D’Souza said that he is confident of his win and assured to bring in change in the city in a big way.
D’Souza will be contesting against BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Manohar Parrikar and Congress candidate Yatin Parekh.
Meanwhile, Election Commission has granted permission to media persons to enter RO’s cabin during filing of nominations. “However, media will have to take care that there are no echoes,” Joint CEO Narayan Navti said.
