RAIA: Joe Cookies Veterans, Loutolim, defeated Benaulim Veterans 4-2 vie tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of Seraulim Veterans Cup organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim at Seraulim church ground, on Friday.
Credit to both the keepers – Savio Fernandes and Manoj Kesakar – for keeping the scoreboard clean for their respective teams by effecting good saves during the regular time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Joe Cookies scored through Mark Fernandes, Tony Antao, Joao Colaco and Agostinho Cardozo, while for Benaulim Veterans only Nicholas Rodrigues and Alric Fernandes were on target.
