PANJIM: Karimabad Cricket Club thrashed Sunny Sports Club by six wickets to emerge champions of 50th Bandodkar Trophy T20 cricket tournament organized by Panjim Gymkhana at GCA ground, Porvorim.

Sunny won the toss and elected to bat. They were bundled out for a meager 95 in 19 overs. Amol Nilgude was the wrecker-in-chief picking up 5/17. He was well supported by Santosh Upadhya (2/18), Naresh Parsekar (2/5) and Puspashl Desai (1/17). Satyan Balekar 12, Siddesh Amonka 17, Rajan Dhamshekar 10 and Nitesh Naik 24 were the top-scorers for Sunny.
In reply, Karimabad overhauled the target in just 12 overs for the loss of just four wickets. Rajesh Vaigankar 60 not out, Puspashil Desai 16, Damodar Redkar 13 and Bharat Arkas 11 were the top scorers for Karimabad. Suraj Sawal 3/15 and Rohan Shetty 1/26 picked up the wickets for Sunny.
Other prizes – Man-of-the-series: Nilkant Narvekar (Sunny). Man-of-the-match: Amol Nilgude (Karimabad). Best bowler: Rohan Shetty (Sunny). Best batsmen: Rajesh Vaigankar (Karimabad).
