PANJIM (HSD) — Karnataka Police scored a 3-2 sets thrilling victory against Trivandrum Six in the 1st all-India volleyball tournament organised by Shirgal Sports Club at Dhargal.
Karnataka began on a promising note taking the first set 25-20. However, Trrivandrum came back strongly in the second and equalised 25-22. Karnataka regained the lead in the third 28-26 with the scores changing lead on and often. Trivandrum restored parity winning the fourth 25-21.
The deciding fifth set saw plenty of rallies until Karnataka clinched the issue 15-11.
Earlier, ICF lost to MEG, Bangalore 25-22, 25-21, 25-17.
Meanwhile, the organisers stated that entry for the matches will be free as the Sports Minister, Babu Azgaonkar priomised to make good the deficit.
