PANJIM: KK Brothers, Cortalim entered the semi-finals defeating Cansaulim Footballers vie the tie-breaker 6-4 in the Mathias Cup football tournament organised by Siridao Boys, at River Plate Siridao Sports Club ground, Siridao, on Monday.
Both the teams were locked 1-1 at full time.Cansaulim Footballers started the match with flying colours but could not convert their opportunities into goals. KK Brothers players were seen all over the field most of the time.Cansaulim Footballers mounted the pressure in the 25th minute netted their first goal.
In the second half, KK Brothers put some extra efforts with the young players starting with their usual one short touch passes and finding the equaliser.
In the tie-breaker, KK Bothers had the last laugh.
