SANGUEM: Lapaz Garden CC defeated Madkai Yuvak Sangh by 164 runs in the GCA Division A cricket match, at Sanguem ground, on Friday.
Madkai Yuvak Sangh won the toss and elected to bowl. Lapaz Garden put up a total of 287 for 7 in the allotted 40 overs.
Sarfaraz Nawaz was the top scorer with 86 runs off 45 balls followed by Azim Kazi(62).
The Madkai bowlers put up a decent performance as Saish Naik scalped three wickets while Mahesh Raikar picked up two wickets.
In reply, Madkai Yuvak Sangh were bundled out for 123 in 24.4. None of the batsmen could put up a decent partnership to carry their side over the line.
Rajasab Kazri was the top scorer of the innings with 29 runs off 23 balls.
The Lapaz Garden CC bowlers put up a formidable performance to restrict their opponents as Basu picked up three wickets while Sarfaraz and Sher Bahadur managed to pick up two wickets each.
