The Lappits took the lead in the seventh minute through Joerose Oliveira after receiving a fine pass by Jose Colaco.
But the Lappits could not hold on to the lead for too long and allowed John Dias to go easy in the 20th minute to find the equalizer.
In the 23rd minute, Joerose Oliveira was unlucky to hit the crossbar. Resuming the match, the teams went all out to find the match-winner and in the 50th minute, Savio scored the all-important goal for Lappits with a stunning long ranger.
The chief guest MLA Mickky Pacheco gave away the prizes along with the guest of honour Nelly Rodrigues, special guests Fr Livio D’Mello, Fr Benjamin Victoria and Lyndon Monteiro and sarpanch Franky Vales and other panch members of village panchayat of Nagoa.
The individual prizes were awarded to Fair Play Trophy Crist Rei Sports Club, Betalbatim; Best Striker Savio Fernandes (Lappits), Best Midfielder John Fernandes (Pipper Boys), Best Goalkeeper Joel Dias (Lappits), Player of the tournament Inacio Lesley Colaco (Lappits) and Best defender Rosario Noronha (Pipper Boys).
Earlier, the Mickky Pacheco unveiled the Nagoa Panchayat Champions football rolling trophy which will be organized by the Youth of Nagoa from February 1.
