BENAULIM: M7 Panjim defeated Valankani Boys A Majorda 1-0 to lift the Don Bosco Oratory trophy in the football tournament, at Don Bosco Oratory ground, recently.
Both teams displayed good football skills in all the departments but it was Kiran Kari of M7 Panjim who scored a penalty kick in the dying minutes of first half.
The winners pocketed Rs10,000 while the runners-up took home Rs 7,000.
Best dominating team was awarded to Valankani Boys. Fr.Austin Fernandes Sdb, youth director of Don Bosco, Benaulim was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up in the presence of President of the Oratory Shuebartand other dignitaries.
