Maharashtra outplay Daman & Diu

MARGAO: A four-goal blitz including a hat-trick by striker Aman Kiran Pura saw Maharashtra demolish Daman and Diu 12-0 in the West Zone Under-15 Coca Cola Mir Iqbal Hussian Trophy Sub-Junior National Football Championship, at Holy Trinity ground, Benaulim, on Sunday.

MARGAO: A four-goal blitz including a hat-trick by striker Aman Kiran Pura saw Maharashtra demolish Daman and Diu 12-0 in the West Zone Under-15 Coca Cola Mir Iqbal Hussian Trophy Sub-Junior National Football Championship, at Holy Trinity ground, Benaulim, on Sunday.
Maharashtra recorded their second straight win and have six points from two matches while Daman and Diu suffered their second successive defeat and yet to open their account.
Maharashtra outplayed their opponents in all departments of the game and their opponents were struggling to catch the brisk pace of rival marauding strikers. Kamaran Ansari was electric as he scored a hat-trick.
Pranay Kamse and Girish Adhikari scored a brace each while Ansari added his name on the scoreboard as he rounded off the tally.
In another match, Gujarat trounced Madhya Pradesh 5-0 after leading 2-0 at half time. Gujarat saw good ball possession in both the sessions while Madhya Pradesh were happy to defend.
The deadlock was broken in the ninth minute when captain Aditya Jha punished the rival goalkeeper with a neat finish. 
Stung by the early reverse, Madhya Pradesh nearly equalized but Rohit Yadav’s cracker proved equal to the task and kept the slate clean. Parak Godhari doubled the lead with a left-footer which crashed into the net.
Crossing over, Gujarat continued to enjoy the better share of exchanges and in the 68th minute Tarak Godhari intelligently chipped the ball into the net seeing the rival goalkeeper out of his positions. 
Substitute Omey Pandey converted the spot-kick after rival goalkeeper fouled Gujarat player inside the penalty box and referee awarded the spot kick. 
Chotalal Mahatto rounded off the tally late in the second half.
