Maina took the lead in the eighth minute through striker Milagres Fernandes’ genius. They intensified their forays and nearly doubled their advantage but James’ dangerous runs were anticipated well by the rival defence.
Post resumption, St Sebastian dominated and equalized in the 13th minute as striker Edgar Noronha finished neatly. They even came close to scoring the second goal but Roger Azavedo shot wide from hand-shaking distance.
In the penalty shoot-out, Bruno Fernandes, Peter Pereira, Casmiro Fernandes, Seby Martins and Joaquim Carvalho were on target for Maina while Roger, Wilson Dias, Tasring Fernandes, Blaise Faleiro and Charles Dias found the mark of Fatorda.
