COLLEM: Maina Strikers Sports and Cultural Club defeated Samrat Sports and Cultural Club Collem in the finals of 8-overs cricket tournament organized by Samrat Sports and Cultural Club of Collem at panchayat ground, here.
Maina Strikers were awarded Rs 22,222 plus trophy while Samrat Collem received Rs 11,111 and a trophy. The semi-finalists Mahamaya Sports and Cultural Club of Bharipwada and Metawada Cricketers Collem were awarded Rs 5000 each.
Individuals prizes: Man-of-the-series and best batsman prizes were awarded to Maina’s Viraj and Rupesh respectively. Best bowler – Thomson from Samrat Collem.
