MARGAO: A.A.De Majorda registered a 3-0 win over Football Club of Nerul to cruise into the quarter-finals of all-Goa Chinchinim Villagers Trophy inter-village football tournament, organized by Union of Chinchinim Villagers, at Church ground, Chinchinim.
There was no score at lemon break.
Crossing over, A.A.De Majorda put up a vast improved display and attacked the rival goal at regular intervals. Majorda’s breakthrough came in the 8th minute when striker Allister Monteiro slotted past the rival goalkeeper with snap shot.
Later, A.A.De Majorda intensified their attacks and doubled the lead in the 22nd minute when Quan Gomes punished the rival goalkeeper with neat finish off pass from Allister.
Bouventura Pacheco drove the last nail into the rival coffin late in the second half when he bulge the net off through pass from Flyod Fernandes.
