Mandopa hold Telaulim

Mandopa Sporting Club rallied to hold United Club of Telaulim 3-3 in the GFA Third Division League at Sinquetim ground, Navelim on Thursday. Telaulim were leading 2-1 at half time.
Telaulim who enjoyed a lion share of exchanges in the opening session, broke the deadlock in the 13th minute when Nelson Coutinho punished the rival keeper with a snap shot. However, their joy was shortlived when Anthony Peixoto equalized with a stiff shot in the 14th minute.
Stunned by the equaliser, Telaulim went into the attack with their forwards and midfielders worked in tandem and fired a couple of forays into the rival penalty box and were rewarded at the stroke of lemon break when striker Nelson Coutinho struck a second time to complete his brace.
Mandopa bounced back with renewed ideas after change of ends with their forwards showing greater urgency and went out in search of the equalizer and found success when Climax Pereira restored parity with a stiff grounder in the 65th.
Spurred by the equaliser, Mandopa piled pressure and attacked the rival citadel and in the 65th minute Minguel made it 3-2 in favour of Mandopa.
With time running out, Telaulim made their last ditch effort and found the equaliser when Milton Cardozo slotted past the rival keeper to bring relief to the Telaulim camp.
In an another inconsequential match of Group B, a fine five goals blitz by striker Leslie Fernandes helped United Boys of Dando, Colva, crush Varca Sports Club at St John Baptist ground, Benaulim. Alphi Vaz scorerd for Dando Boys while Krushev Alemao struck for Varca.
