Margao Cricket Academy, Anantpur CA win nail biters

MARGAO: Margao Cricket Academy beat CCI, Belgaum by 2 runs in the 3rd Bhikoo Pai Angle All India Cricket tournament, at Fatorda ground, on Tuesday.
CCI won the toss and put MCA to bat on a slow track. Batting steadily, MCA were bundled out for 200 in 45 overs with Vivek (70), Roshan Bekwadkar (23), Sarthak (32) and Priyam (13) being the prominent scorers for MCA. Sachin (3-31) and Abhinav (2/35) put in a decent performance with the ball. 
In reply CCI were restricted to 199 in 45 overs needing two runs of last three balls. 
Roshan Bekwadkar (2/46) bowled the last over to pull things off for MCA. Rudresh Sharma (2/32) and Anvit Bhobe (1/31) were the other wicket takers. Vivek of MCA was the man-of-the-match.
In another nail-biting finish, Anantpur CA defeated MCC by 2 wickets. Winning the toss and fielding first, MCC were bundled out for 116 in 38.1 over. 
Amey Lolienkar (14), Nisarg Narvenkar 16, Shantanu Nadkarni (16) put in a formidable effort for their side with the bat. Nago Charan (3/46) was pick of the bowlers. 
Bhargav, Manideep and Azan claimed 2 wickets each. Anantpur reached the target losing eight wickets due to the deadly bowling spells by Amey Lolienkar (4/27) and Sridhar Keni (3/13). 
Venkar (24) and Manideep (25) were the top scorers for Anantpur.
Manideep of Anantpur CA was named man-of-the-match.
