MACAZANA: Margao SC outplayed Raia SC 5-3 via penalties to move into the final of the 1st Macazana Panchayat Cup, at Macazana, on Sunday.
Cliff Barretto netted the first goal of the match for Margao in the 13th minute but it didn’t take long for Raia’s Joston Barbosa to equalise three minutes later.
Thereafter, Raia through Melvin Gauncar made it 2-1 in the 41st minute.
Margao SC levelled terms through Swizel Pereira in the 56th minute.
In the tie-breaker, Margao SC proved to be the better shooters.
