Marina English High School, Verna, Mae dos Pobres High School, Nuvem and St Rita ‘s High School, Maina, Curtorim recorded victories in Salcete Taluka under-17 inter-school football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Government ground, Manora, Raia on Tuesday.
Marina routed Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna 3-0. Stany Braganza, Roger Braganza and Mellister Gomes were the goal getters.
St Rita’s pipped St Jude High School, Betalbatim 1-0. The all-important goal came in the second half through Josley Costa.
Mae dos Pobres made short work of Auxilium Convent High School, Benaulim 3-0 after leading 2-0 at half time. Wellington Baretto put Nuvem into the lead. Anthony Pereira doubled the lead while Myron Borges rounded off the tally.
