Merces Villagers shocked Salgoacar Veterans by a solitary second half goal to enter the semi-finals of All-Goa Diogo Vaz memorial veterans football tournament organised by Don Bosco Past Pupils at Don Bosco ground, here on Thursday. There was no score at the breather.
The all-important goal was scored by Pascoal Pereira in the dying minutes. Lawrence Gomes of Salgaocar was given the man-of-the match prize.
Fr Domnic Savio Fernandes, principal, Don Bosco High School was the chief guest.
