MARGAO: A splendid brace by striker Minguel Baretto enabled Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda trounce Curtorim Gymkhana 4-0 to enter the final of all-Goa 41st Chandor Seamen Cup inter-village football tournament, organized by Chandor Club, at Chandor ground, on Saturday. Don Bosco Oratory led 2-0 at the breather.
Don Bosco Oratory were a superior side and demolished their opponents with well-orchestrated raids with striker Minguel Baretto in thick action as he bulldozed the rival fragile defence with speed and shots. They broke the deadlock in the seventh minute after Henselen Furtado slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot.
Curtorim Gymkhana looked subdued and jaded as they failed to function as a cohesive unit.
Don Bosco Oratory continued to enjoy the total domination after change of ends and pushed their opponents on the back-foot.
Minguel Baretto doubled the lead when he punished the rival goallkeeepr with a clinical finish. Curtorim Gymkhana struggled to contain the rival rampaging forwards. Minguel struck for the second time to complete his brace.
Cliff Baretto drove the last nail into rival coffin late in the second half.
