Mother of Mercy High School, Vasco will meet Mata High School, Vasco  in the finals of 12th Mukund Trikhnand memorial inter-school cricket tournament organised by Margao Cricket Club at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium here on January 6.
In the second semi-final, Mata Secondary beat New Educational Institute, Curchorem on Wednesday.
Batting first, New Educational were all out in 25 overs. Abhinav Marathe topscored with 39. He was well supported by S Borkar (28) and Sushil Saroj (28). For Mata Secondary,  Sushil Saroj was the most successful bowler scalping 3 for 19. Dilip Tirodkar claimed 2 for 20.
In reply, Mata Secondary achieved the target scoring 115 for 3 in 20 overs. Dilip Tirodkar’s swashbuckling 45 helped his team to reach the target. For New Educational, Subham Naik andVedant Naik shared two wickets.

Damodar Bhat 1-30, Shubham Naik 1-14, Vedant Naik 1-14).
Bhatikar Model High School, Margao, recorded a fluent 68-run win  over Shenvi High School, Rawanfond  Dayanand Narvekar inter-school cricket tournament (Salcete Zone) at SAG practice ground, Fatorda.
Brief score: Bhatikar Model HS 144 for 6 in 20 overs (Yogesh Yadav 10, Rohit Naik 24, G. M. Vivek 36, Pawan Khandeparkar 14.  Sunil Patil 2-21, Vishnu Resu 1-28, Babloo 2-26) beat Shenvi HS 76 all out in 14.4 overs (Sunil Patil 10, Vinod Resu 17. Sanket Morajkar 2-10, Pawan Kumar 2-10, Ashish 4-11, Yogesh Yadav and Heramb 1 each).
