VERNA: Mugrupoi B defeated Matol FC 1-0 to move into the next round of the inter-ward football tournament organised by Youth of Bamborda, at Verna ground, on Friday.
Brian Costa netted the match winner for Mugrupoi B in the 44th minute through a penalty kick.
On Thursday, Cumborda Boys beat Mix Veterans 4-2 via tie-breaker to advance into the next round. The score was 2-2 at the end of regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Roy, Razor, Mysler, Alison scored for Cumborda Boys while Remy and Santan netted for Mix Veterans.
