MAPUSA: Murod Boys registered a 2-0 win over Saipem SC to advance ahead in the Silver Sands inter-ward football tournament, organised by United Boys of Camotim, played at Candolim ground, on Wednesday.
In the 10th minute of play Saipem should have taken the lead but Albern Cardoz failed to beat the rival keeper in one to one situation.
Murod surged ahead in the 37th minute as Stephen Dias corner was superbly connected by Merwyn Pires into the goal, 1-0.
