MAPUSA: Scan Nachinola will take on Amigos de Aldona in the opening match of the Glenn Ticlo Rolling Trophy inter-ward Aldona Constituency football tournament on Sunday, at Quitula ground, at 4.45 p.m.
A total of 21 teams are taking part in the tournament, which have divided into two groups.
Hanuman SC, Corjuem will face Bastora SC on Monday while Bhagwati, Quitula will take on Uccassiam Boys on Tuesday.
The other participating teams include YCL Quitula, Moira Boys, Mae de Deus Corjuem, Shiva Boys Bastora, Pomburpa United, Jaayu United, St Domnic Savio Calvim, Aldona Veterans, Uccassaim Youth, SBC Corjuem, Naiaka Vaddo Boys, Mapusa Boys, Sankleshwar Quitula and Kalawati SC Aldona.
The winners will be awarded Rs 30,000 and a trophy while the runners-up will take home Rs 20,000 and a trophy. The final is slated for September 12.
