Nagoa Sporting rally to hold ABC

An equaliser from Vency D’Souza seven minutes before the final whistle helped Nagoa Sporting salvage a point against ABC, Arambol 1-1 in GFA’s 3rd Division match at Chapora ground on Tuesday. Luis D’Souza had given Arambol the lead in the 65th minute.
In Group B, after round one, ABC and Nagoa join Parish Youth, Vagator and Arpora SC on one point each after their 2-2 draw on Monday. Chapora Yuvak Sangh are yet to play their first match.
The match between St Christopher SC and BAFF at St Christopher ground, Tivim was abandoned after 17 minutes. Referee Prasad Surlankar had no option but to call the game off as the rain got heavier, making the pitch waterlogged.
In Group C, after round three, BAFF are leading the group with 9 points. Youth Sports Club, Colvale, Sirsaim Sports and Welfare Club and Football Clube de Sanquelim are all on six points each. Eagle SC and St Christopher have yet to pick up a point.
In another match, Holiday Sports Club, Arpora were awarded three points as Adarsh Yuvak Sangh failed to show up for the re-arranged second half match at Anjuna ground. Holiday SC were leading 2-0 from the first game.
In Group D, PVC Association and St Sebastian, Mapusa have got six points each, although St Sebastian have played an extra game. Holiday SC, Arpora, Adarsh and Sai Avtar have three points each. Sai Avtar have played a game extra. Guirim Youth and Cultural Association are yet to pick up a point.
