MARGAO: Naughty Boys, Padribhat trounced Holy Cross, Mugalli 3-0 to romp into the final of Custodio memorial Sao Jose de Areal inter-ward football tournament organized by Kottu Boys at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal, Saturday. Naughty Boys led 2-0 at half time.
Naughty Boys dominated right from the word go and kept their opponents on the back-foot. Freddy Olveira bulged the net off a pass from Ricardo Carvalho.
Spurred by the early success, Naughty Boys raised the tempo as Ricardo doubled the lead after he punished the rival goalkeeper with a stiff grounder.
Post resumption, Naughty Boys continued to dictate terms and enjoyed the lion’s share of ball possession.
Daisy Oliveira drove the last nail into the rival coffin.
