CHINCHINIM: Navelim Veterans defeated Zico Raia Veterans 5-4 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Chinchinim pick-up and rickshaw owners cum drivers Association veterans football tournament, at Our Lady of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim on Monday.
Minguel Crasto scored two quick goals for Raia in the 6th and the tenth minute while Orlando Viegas pulled a goal back for Navelim and Frank Fernandes levelled terms in the 40th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker Navelim Veterans proved to be better shooters.
