Navelim Villagers Union continued with their impressive form with a solitary goal victory over United Boys of Dando, Colva to seal a final berth in the 14th Benaulim Villagers inter-village football tournament organised by Dando Boys at Dando ground, Benaulim on Thursday.
The all-important goal came in the 5th minute when striker Joseph Dias bulged the net.
Navelim showed a lot of promise right from the word go with their forwards calling the shots against the rival citadel.
Their persistent forays into the rival territory fetched them dividends in the 5th minute when Joseph Dias struck from a through pass by Vikas Dale.
After change of ends, Dando Boys had a chance to equalise but Nelson Gomes, the culprit, sent the ball wide, much to the dismay of the Colva supporters.
Navelim Villagers will now meet Curtorim Gymkhana in the final on August 9.
