Navelim Villagers Union drub Don Bosco Oratory

MARGAO: Navelim Villagers Union trounced Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 4-0 to storm into the quarter-finals of South Goa McDowell's No. 1 Yarri Premier Cup inter-village football tournament organized by Cuncolim Union at government school play ground, Cuncolim, on Wednesday.

There was no score at lemon break.
In an evenly poised battle, both the teams had equal number of scoring chances but failed to get past the rear guards. 
Navelim Villagers nearly found the goal but striker Alvito Colaco fumbled at crucial moments.
Later Clinton Niasso shot wide from close range.
At the other hand, Don Bosco Oratory did lag behind and had a glorious chance to break the deadlock but Cliff Baretto blasted wide.
After the break, Navelim Villagers Union were a dominant lot with their forwards launching barrage of attacks.
Navelim Villagers Union took the lead in the 50th minute when Stanley Colaco beat the rival goalkeeper with quantifiable finish off Clinton Niasso’s pass.
In the 57th minute, Clinton Niasso made it 2-0 for Navelim Villagers Union when he found Anil Siolkar through pass and the Don Bosco goalkeper had no chance of stopping it.
Alvito Colaco increased the tally in the 62nd minute off Sandy Colaco connect. 
Anil Siolkar drove the last nail into the coffin late in the second half to blank Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 
Clinton Niasso of Navelim Villagers Union was named man-of-the-match.
