BETALBATIM: Navelim Villagers Union edged past Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club 1-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Martins Cup football tournament, at Betalbatim ground, on Sunday.
After starting attackingly, the all-important match-winner for Navelim Villagers Union came through Anil Shivolkar in the 22nd minute off a supply by Avlon Gomes.
