MARGAO: Nayal Borim defeated Bandora by five wickets in the South Zone ‘A’ Division Cricket league at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, here on Wednesday.
Batting first, Bandora were bundled out for 184 in 36 overs. Suraj Tari top scored with 72 runs and was well supported by Manesh Sirsat who chipped in a useful unbeaten 33 runs. For Nayal, Stanley Fernandes and Swapnil Naik shared three wickets apiece.
While chasing Bandora’s score, Nayal achieved the target by scoring 186 for the loss of 5 wickets in 36.4 overs. Darshan Patil (54) and Jagannath Patil (44) added runs to ensure smooth sailing for Borim. For Bandora, Siddesh Naik was the most successful bowler scalping 2 for 34 runs.
