Nerul meet Navelim in Custodio inals

PANJIM, JULY 25
Nerul beat hosts Raia via the tie-breaker 4-2 to enter the finals of 39th Custodio memorial football tournament at Raia ground on Sunday. There was no score at full time.
Raia dominated with Wilfred Gomes and Oilex Oliveira combining well to give the Nerul defence the jitters. 
Nerul packed their defence and goalkeeper Xavier Estracio had a great game bring off some excellent saves. 
Tremendous goalkeeping efforts by Xavier ensured that Raia did not steal a goal.  The best chance for Raia came in the 52nd minute but Xavier punched the ball out which went to Wilfred who had a chance to score, but somehow his shot went straight to the keeper who was standing at the extreme end. 
In the penalty shoot-out Nerul scored four while Raia scored twice missing the third and fourth kicks.
Nerul will meet Navelim Sporting in the finals on August 5.
