CALANGUTE: Nerul United prevailed over Saligao Sporting Club 6-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of Rusi Daver Cup All-Goa inter-village football tournament organised by Adarsh Yuvak Sangh at the Saligao grounds on Tuesday.
The match ended in a goalless draw after full time.
The match was resorted to shoot-out penalties. Nerul kept their nerves to romp home winners by 6-5.
Benice D’Souza, Rajat Chopdekar, Manuel Crasto, Russel Fernandes, Sanket Jodhkar and Elison Pereira converted for Nerul while Jason D’mello, Niyaaz Sheikh, Mathias Dias, Bibian Trinidade and C. D’Silva were on target for Saligao Sporting.
