PONDA: Nerul Sports Club Nerul got the better of Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 6-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of the 32nd All Goa St Anne’s Festival inter-village soccer tournament, at Animal Husbbandry ground Curti-Ponda, on Monday.

Nerul opened the account when Aniket chipped a free-kick inside the box and Sainath Kalangutkar chested the ball to give the lead.
Fatorda equalised as Clive gave a through ball to Maxwell Furtado who placed it to the left of the keeper.
Fatorda took the lead as Maxwell released a diagonal pass to Joel Colaco who placed it over the advancing keeper to make it 2-1.
In injury time, Nerul equalised through a powerful shot taken by Anthony which rebounded and fell at the feet of Sainath who tapped into the goal.
In the tie-breaker, Aniket, Nikhil, Chaitan and Deepraj scored for Nerul while Clive found the net for Fatorda.
Sainath Kalangutkar was declared man-of-the-match and Chandrikant Wadikar gave away the prize.
Nerul SC will now take on Raia Sporting Club in the semis on July 21.
