PANJIM: The Competition Directors of various sports disciplines which have been included in the National Games 2019 will hold a meeting to confirm on the venue plans, the requirement of sports equipment, TSR (Timings, Scoring and Results), competition management requirement, etc from October 3 to 5, at the Conference Hall, Dr S P M stadium, Bambolim.
The National Games Organising Committee has finalised various venues of sports disciplines to be held during the National Games, namely: Gymnastics and Boxing (Multipurpose Hall at Peddem), Hockey (Peddem Sports Complex), Billiards and Snooker (Peddem Badminton Hall), Fencing and Weightlifting (Sawalwada Multipurpose Hall), Table Tennis and Badminton (Campal Multi-purpose Hall), Baseball (Campal Open Ground), Aquatics (Swimming Pool, Campal), Traithlon (Campal Sports Complex), Rubby (Cuncolim Football Ground), Yachting (Dona Paula), Beach Handball and Beach Volleyball (Miramar Beach), Modern Penthatlon (A mix of venues), Athletics (GMC Athletics stadium, Basketball, Volleyball and Netball (S P M Stadium, Goa University), Judo and Taekwando (Ponda Sports Complex), Squash (Chicalim Sports Complex), Football – Men (Chicalim Sports Complex), Football – Women (Utorda Ground), Wushu and Sepak Takraw (Fatorda Multi purpose Hall), Archery (PJN Stadium at Fatorda), Tennis (Multi purpose Ground at Fatorda), Handball, Kabaddi and Kho Kho (Navelim Sports Complex), Wrestling (Quepem Sports Complex), Lawn Bowl (Benaulim Football Ground), Rowing and Canoe and Kakaking (Colvale River).
Except for Gymnastics and Kabaddi, names of all the other Competition Directors have been finalised by their respective Federations.
