Niraj Saripalli reigns supreme

Niraj Saripalli defeated Shravan Barve in the ninth round to win the inaugural All-Goa Rapid Chess Tournament organized by Canacona Sports Academy at Datta Mandir hall, Canacona on Sunday.
PM Kantak secured the second place. Swapnil Hoble secured third place by beating Anirudh Bhat. Sanjay Kavleker beat Amit chomal to bag the fourth place while Nandini Saripalli beat Punar Acharya to take the fifth spot.
Other standings: 6th Shravan Barve, 7th Anirudh Bhat, 8th Amogh Namshikar, 9th Sudhaker Padgar and 10th Prasanna Swamy.

Ulhas Balliker, State awardee teacher was the chief guest and gave away the prizes alongwith the President of Goa State Chess Association Ashesh Keni, President of Canacona Sports Academy Janardhan Bhandari, Sharendra Naik,Vice-President of Canacona Sports Academy and Anant Agni, secretary of CSM.
