BENAULIM: Parish Youth Nuvem drubbed CDJ Ribandar 3-0 to enter the semi-final of the Cana-Benaulim Panchayat Cup organised by St Sebastian Union Club, Benaulim, at Sao Joao Baptist ground, on Sunday.
From the beginning of the match, Nuvem dominated with their midfielders Inacio Colaco and Stephen Colaco as both missed chances to score in the 4th and 7th minute respectively.
Nuvem broke the deadlock through Niclau Colaco’s glancing header off Godfrey Gonsalves’ cross in the 16th minute.
After the break, Nuvem went all guns blazing as Niclau Colaco netted the second goal off a free-kick in the 47th minute.
Minutes later, Ribandar missed a sitter through Ramesh Palkar’s ground shot which hit the Nuvem side netting.
With just six minutes left for the final whistle, Niclau Colaco completed his hat-trick for Nuvem off a penalty kick.
