PG, Salgaocar, Zantye, Chowgule move up

Post Graduate students of Goa University, V M Salgaocar College, Narayan Zantye and Chowgule College entered into the second round of inter-college (men) football championship organised by Goa University at university ground, Taleigao.
Post Graduate students beat RIEIT 4-0. Malcom Abreau (9th and 29th minutes), Kiran Desai (46th) and Glacen Lobo (61st) were the scorers for PG’s.
V M Salgaocar, Mira Mar beat Dhempe via tie-breaker 8-6. At the end of the first half the score was 2-1 in favour of Salgaocar.
Dhempe fought back and levelled the score 3-3 in the second half. Abdul Karzad, Tushar Naik and Pandurang Korgaonkar of Salgaocar and Yasir H, Kiran Kari and Sheldon Viegas of Dhempe scored during the regular time. In the tie-breaker, Pandurang Korgaonkar, Amey Barad, Mandar Parab, Stallore
D’Souza and Tushar Naik scored for Salgaocar while Stanford Gonsalves,
Yasir H and Sheldon Viegas scored for Dhempe.
In another match, Zantye beat Fine Art College, Panjim 4-1. Ninad Pal, Sainath, Omkar Gawas and Sagar Gawas were the scorers for Zantye while Mahadev Parwar was the lone scorer for Fine Arts.
Chowgule, Margao trounced GR Kare, Margao 6-0. Chowgule scored through Wayne Vaz, Jesher Fernandes, Sanibel Fernandes, Rosewell D’Cunha, Kishen Borkar and Elroy Fernandes.
