Ponda enter semis

Ponda Footballers beat Pilerm Footballers 2-0 to enter the semi-finals of 21st all-Goa St. Anne’s Festival Soccer tournament organized by Ponda Footballers at Animal Husbandry ground, Curti, Ponda.
Petro and Mario shone for Ponda Footballers as they scored in the first half.
 The opening goal came from Petro as he dribbled past two players and released a powerful shot that entered the goal giving no chance to Pilerne keeper.
Pilerne counter-attacked when Julies chipped to Micheal but his powerful header was easily chipped for a corner. Pilerne continued attacking and Abishek’s powerful shot was palmed away by Pilerne keeper Domnic. Mario who got the ball placed it over the keeper.
