In the semi-final, Ponda Veterans defeated title favorites Marc Caterers, Nuvem by a solitary goal.
The match was played at a fast pace with Nuvem having a full senior team with Marcus, Vishant, Levies, Sheikh, Brian in their ranks while Ponda had a solid keeper Anand Arkondkar who has played for a Kuwait team in earlier days.
Anand was a solid rock in the goal who dived full length to save Marcus’ and Vishant’s powerful shots from inside the danger zone. Ponda managed to score the only goal when Martin gave a well diagonal pass to Santan, who tapped in past the Nuvem keeper.
In the other semi-final, Candolim got the better off Quepem Veterans by a solitary goal scored by Elvis Perreira.
