PANJIM: Ponda Veterans stunned Salgaocar Veterans 4-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of 13th V M Salgaocar Veterans memorial soccer tournament organized by Prime Sports Club at St. John de Baptist ground, Dando, Benaulim, Thursday. There was no score at regular time.
In the tie-breaker, Ponda Veterans converted through Santan Colaco, Ramesh Palkar, Rafiq Bepari and Anand Rose. For Salgaocar, Mario Soares, Derrick Pereira and Daniel Noronha were the scorers.
Gaundencio Luis, sarpanch of Orlim, was the chief guest. Trevor Fernandes was the guest of honour.
