PANJIM: Portais Sporting Club defeated Vaddy Sports Club 4-3 in the GFA Second Division League Ilhas Zone, at Goa Velha ground, on Thursday.
Portais led 3-1 at the break.
Piedade Colaco opened the account for Portais in the 22nd minute while Mohit Jalmi doubled the lead in the 26th minute.
Ramesh Priolkar scored for Vaddy in the 31st minute to make it 1-2. Clive Coelho further inflated the Portais lead to 3-1 in the 37th minute.
Crossing ends, Vaddy came all out and scored in the 47th minute to make it 2-3. Just when Vaddy were pressing hard to find the equaliser, Piedade scored his brace to make it 4-2 and take the game beyond Vaddy SC reach.
However, Valerian Rodrigues scored late in the 89th minute to make it 3-4.
On Wednesday, FC Neura and St Sebastian SC played out a 1-1 draw at the same venue.
Shanon Fernandes scored for FC Neura in the first half, while Seby Fernandes equalised for St Sebastian in the second half.
