MAPUSA: PVC Association, Parra grounded Bicholim Association of Football Fans (BAFF), in GFA’s Third Division football league, Bardez zone play-offs third place match, at Duler Stadium, here, on Thursday. The teams were locked 1-1 at half time.
BAFF took the lead in the eighth minute through Paras Deulkar, who took advantage of a defensive lapse by Myron Furtado, 1-0.
In the 45th minute, Parra equalized through a Vijendra Shetye penalty, 1-1.
In the 76th minute Tyson Fernandes gave PVC the lead and two minutes from time Billu Chavan made it 3-1.
PVC qualified for next seasons Second Division. The finals of the play off will be played on Friday between Xetrapal SC and FC Siolim. The kick off is at 3.45 p.m.
