PY Nuvem had the lions’ share of ball possession in both the session.
In the first half, the score was nil. PY Nuvem made the first move in the 5th minute with Jorese Olveira connecting from the midfield to Stephen Colaco in the upfront but the latter shot wide.
Yuri Ferrao released a long ball to Alex Rodrigues of Santa Cruz Club but the latter’s move was tackled by Jose Colaco, defender of PY Nuvem in the 10th minute.
PY Nuvem started the second session well and ended up well too with Mecanzie Fernandes breaking the deadlock in the 53rd minute.
Within two minutes, Inacio Colaco doubled the lead of a penalty kick as the rival defender had the hand on the ball. And with just one minute remaining for the final whistle, Josnie Olivera slotted home 3-0.
On Tuesday, Maina SC, Curtorim blanked Navelim Villagers 2-0 to cruise into the quarter-finals. Mario Mascarenhas opened the scoring in the 10th minute while Stephen Fernandes doubled the lead in the 46th minute.
