DICARPALE: Raia SC got the better of Verna SC 3-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Our Lady of Fatima Cup organised by Dicarpale SC, at Dicarpale ground, on Monday.
Raia had the first chance of the match through Oilex Oleveira but the striker was tackled by Verna’s defender Kevin Barretto.
The deadlock was broken by Oilex Oliveira of Raia SC with a snap shot in the 30th minute. After fifteen minutes Raia netted the second goal through Denny Fernandes.
Post resumption, Denny Fernandes scored another goal to make it 3-0 for Raia SC in the 55th minute.
Verna SC’s Razor Braganza pulled a goal back in the 60th minute.
