FATORDA: Raia Football Club outplayed Young Strikers, Benaulim 8-2 in the GFA U-14 football league match, at Artifical turf, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
Ryes Cruz and Cyrus Noronha fired a goal each for Raia FC while Backdon Braganza and Flavan Crasto scored for Young Strikers, Benaulim.
In another match played at St Jose de Areal ground, Youth Welfare and SC Assolna defeated Macazana Welfare C, 4-2.
Pranoy Redkar drew the first blood for Youth Welfare in the 9th minute while Nash Diniz doubled the lead in the 14th minute.
Elloy Costa kept hopes alive for Macazana Welfare as he pulled a goal back for his team.
Rewzen Vaz in the 47th minute levelled terms for his team, after the equaliser Macazana Welfare stepped back hoping to end the match in a 2-2 draw.
Relentless Youth Welfare strikers Joeans Simoes and Arnesh Paul constantly troubled the defence until they finally found a breakthrough in the 52nd and 62nd minutes respectively.
