PANJIM: Real Betalbatim Football Youth Club demolished highly ranked Bethany Convent 3-0 in the semi-finals of under-16 football tournament, organized by Real Betalbatim Football Youth Club, at SAG ground, Betalbatim. At half time the teams remained goalless.
Real Betalbatim started on a defensive note and caught the opponents on the wrong foot.
In the second half, Betalbatim coach changed the pattern and demolished the opponents with quick passes and sharp shooting. They scored three goals with a delightful brace by Ajay and Lynson Vaz adding the third goal of the evening.
The man-of-the-match was Real Betalbatim skipper Princeton Rebello, who mastered his team with through passes and skills.
In the first semi-final, Salgaocar FC defeated Cortalim Gymkana 3-1 after leading 2-1 at half time with a brace from Rollwin while Boris reduced the margin for Cortalim.
In the second half, Salgaocar scored their third goal through Jonathan.
