PANJIM: Regina Mundi HS Chicalim, Rosary HS Navelim, Auxilium Convent and Don Bosco HS Panjim won their respective matches in Mahindra Youth football, Saturday.
Regina Mundi got the better of St Joseph’s Educational Institute Chandor 4-2 via the tie-breaker. There was no score was at full time. In tie-breaker, Fernando Da Costa Araujo, Deepak Agre, Chris Gonsalves and Vienceo Da Costa scored for Regina while Myron Fernandes and Jerry Fernandes found the back of the net for St Joseph’s.
In the other match at Quepem ground, Rosary beat Our Lady of Snows HS, Raia 1-0. The all-important goal was scored by Joval Fernandes.
Auxilium Convent blanked Sarawat Vidyalaya, Mapusa 3-0 at Quitula ground. Salu Santos scored in the eighth, 28th and 30th minutes to complete his hat-trick.
In the next match at Quitula, Don Bosco beat Fr Agnel HS, Pilar 4-3 via the tie-breaker. There was no score at full time. In the tie-breaker, Amayan Gonsalves, Anthony Fernandes, Dhiraj Chawan and Dwayne Britto scored for Don Bosco while Boris D’Mello, Velroy D’Souza and Lester Dias were on target for Fr Agnel.
