PANJIM: WFM Riya Sawant secured three and a half points after the fourth round in National under-15 open and girls chess championship, at Thrissur, Kerala, on Wednesday.
Riya drew with Saughanthika of Tamil Nadu in the third round and won against WFM Hilmo Pravaeen from Kerala in the fourth round. She take on WCM Ananya Suresh from Kerala in the next round.
Meanwhile, Adithi Parbhugaonkar defeated Sreelakshmi M and M Sunil Kumar of Kerala in the third and fourth round respectively and is on three points. Aishwarya Thorat also won both her by defeating Mishra Riya of Uttar Pradesh and Potluri Supreetha and is on three points.
In the open category, Ritvz Parab defeated Nishanth VG and Selvabharathy T from Tamil Nadu in the third and fourth round respectively and is on three points. He will clash with Sarbojit Parab of West Bengal in the next match.
Ameya Audi and Naik Rishubh are on 2.5 points each with one win and one draw. Snehal Shetti is on two points. Kambli Datta and Audi Saesh are on 1.5 points each. CM Mendonca Luke is on one point.
